ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Knowledge that stays useful.

IndieWiki is a practical, contributor-maintained knowledge base for people building independent products: solo founders, indie hackers, and small teams.

Built as a wiki, not a brochure

The GitHub repository is the source of truth. Articles are plain Markdown with structured metadata. A static build turns those files into the searchable website, so contributions can arrive through familiar issues and pull requests.

How an article gets made

01 / QUESTIONStart with a real task

Pick a specific problem a builder needs to solve.

02 / EVIDENCECheck the source

Trace claims and note dates, context, and gaps.

03 / GUIDANCEExplain the trade-offs

Turn research into steps a reader can adapt.

04 / REVIEWImprove it together

Suggest corrections or additions in GitHub.

Evidence is part of the page

Articles distinguish source-backed facts, recommendations, experience, and open questions. Volatile details need a check date. A page's confidence label describes the support available, not a guarantee that it applies to every situation.

Contribute

Small corrections are welcome. For a new guide, propose the reader question and source trail. Read the contribution guide and source policy.
